The aim of the Hospital Clínico Universidad de Chile, Dr. José Joaquín Aguirre Foundation is to cultivate, develop and promote scientific research, teaching, and medical care, at the Clinical Hospital of the Universidad de Chile, for the benefit of the vulnerable and disabled patients and the community.

The Hospital Clínico de la Universidad de Chile, Dr. José Joaquín Aguirre Foundation, is a non-profit entity established by the Rector, Professor and Doctor Jaime Lavados in 1992, with the sole purpose of helping the Clinical Hospital of the Universidad de Chile. Our Foundation aims to cultivate, develop, and promote scientific research, teaching, and medical care at the Clinical Hospital of the Universidad de Chile.
Our mission
Is to develop and promote research, teaching, and health care at the Clinical Hospital of the Universidad de Chile, encouraging the development of staff skills through continuous training, in learning of innovative techniques, investment in new technologies and infrastructure, articulating the contributions of different sectors of society for the benefit of vulnerable and disabled patients and of the community.
Our vision
Is to collaborate in the design and implementation of the Clinical Hospital of the Universidad de Chile as a leading institution in training, and national and international scientific dissemination; contributing to improve the quality of clinical care, complying with the historical mission of the University.
